Dragonfly

I can see it all tonight underneath a perfect sky
Where the universe revolves around the pupil of an eye
And infinities stretch out from infinities within
And I'm a part of everything, I'm a part of everything

Am I falling asleep? Is it all just a dream?
Well, the cars are like water and the road is like a stream
Rolling down through the city, flowing out into the sea
Going nowhere like me, going nowhere like me

When the morning starts to glow out in the corners of the sky
All the people come and go, and the time just passes by
Then I'm only gonna see it from the corner of my eye
When the planet spins, it sings like the wings of a dragonfly

I can see it all tonight.

One of my New Years' resolutions is to post more often; I'm not going to break it.
Happy 2009!

These photographs make me want to shoot with my grandfather's small Minolta that he passed down. I haven't ever used it because it takes 16mm film, which I would somehow have to cut down from 35mm. Anyways, I hope to do something like this project when I possibly go back to Massachusetts this summer, where I consider myself from.

Also, I was tagged by the lovely Ella to post six things that make me happy:

1. Staring up at the stars on a clear night.

Photobucket
2. BB Brunes. Every one of their songs makes me smile, even if I can't completely understand what it is they are saying.

Photobucket
3. Moleskine journals. I have always loved the thought of keeping a journal (like Cecilia in The Virgin Suicides does) and have yet to decorate the ones I received for Christmas, but I quite like this one from Champignons on Etsy.

4. Taking photos from airplane/car windows.

5. Lily Allen's video for The Fear.

6. Dancing. I danced today for probably the first time since I stopped competitive dance last April. It felt so good. I am actually going to have free weekends from February through April for the first time since the second grade!

And I tag everyone who reads this post.

oh what lovely photographs and i do enjoy seeing some landscape ones in there... and i too love looking up at the starry night. When i was much younger our family would travel outside the lights and find a park and we'd bring blankets and we'd watch the metoer shower. beautiful post once again and happy new year.

I love that Moleskine journal cover! I've started a new blog by the way (my old one was A Black Tie Event). Would you want to swap links again? I'm just starting a new link list.

The two you took are magical. The colouring is just like a dusk sky.

P.S
If I want to get the Nikon D40 how do I know what kind of lens/supplies to get? Haha I'm hopeless.

You already know i love those photos.
And i gave my parents a moleskine journal filled with my artwork for christmas! I've always wanted to keep a journal since i read Anne Frank's diary for the first time, but i've tried numerous times and i always give up.

P.s Yep, the shaped Bokeh works. I didn't have any black card either, i just used a cereal packet, and as i was eager to try it the shape wasn't in the middle either, i just moved it around until i could see the shape. I'm going to make a new one so i can use it with self timer sometime soon, but the effect is pretty amazing on it's own, especially with christmas lights.

hello again! you've been tagged, my dear. i just realized it's the same one ella tagged you with, so i guess it doesn't really matter if you do it or not, but you can do it again if you want.
