The Anatomy of a Typewriter

I found my mother's old typewriter in the attic last night, and I just had to haul it down to try it out. I spent the night typing nonstop, everything I could think of. The clacking of the keys every time my fingers beat down on them could have easily been annoying, but the sound was too perfect.
It might forever stay on my desk.

Sunshine and Cricket

My geography teacher arranged for a cricket tournament today, against the other third period class. Nobody plays cricket here, so the game was really slow and boring. Although, I did hit the ball, so I suppose that is something to be proud of, even if I did spend my time as a "fielder" sitting in the grass.

Today has also been a really beautiful day, after a week of rain, so my afternoon has been spent outside, reading, eating, and taking a few pictures.

Première Tentative: First Attempt (I believe that's how you say it)

My first attempt at using self-timer on this camera, posing with my new teacup. Some shots are a bit blurred, thanks to Auto Focus.

It says bonjour on the inside.

And I took another Polariod. I am very conservative of my Polaroid film, since 5 packs need to last me through the summer.


(It is of $20 bills and kind of reminds me of those pictures you see of drug busts, with the messed up photograph of the money. Or perhaps that is just me?)

And just when I thought that the Diana + could not get any better...

I find that my style is beginning to shift, and I now want to dress like I am attending a tea party on a daily basis. I've always had an odd fascination with tea parties and while sorting through an old stack of Teen Vogues this past week, I rediscovered one of my favorite articles/shoots. It is from the February 2007 issue and features a Valentines Day tea party.









On another note, my gladiators arrived the other day.



Outfit updates will come soon, as I have discovered that my Canon Rebel XTi has self timer.
I feel a bit stupid for not knowing this in the first place..?

The Deadliest Catch and Corey Arnold

Since Season 3 of The Deadliest Catch has started recently, I feel the need to make another post on Corey Arnold. The Deadliest Catch is a television show on Discovery Channel that focuses around the most dangerous job in America; fishing the unpredictable Bering Sea. Corey Arnold is one of the men who holds that job and he works on the Rollo, one of the boats featured in the series. He also happens to be a photographer, and is definitely one of my favorites. I could describe his photographs as stunning, but that might be an understatement.



























The Deadliest Catch is on Discovery Channel at 8pm on Tuesdays.
My brother and my dad got me into it...I find it really interesting.
