You're My Shooting Star

Pretty, if the sun won't shine
I'll be coming up to meet you, I'll be there to make you mine
You're pretty, if the rain will pour
I'll be knocking at your window I'll be begging you for more

It's as if you've come along too soon
And I'm trying to fit you in but I can't seem to follow
You're a cutie, if it all falls through
We can piece it back together, I can learn to trust you too

You're just, too good, to lose and I can't refuse
So don't make me choose between the two
I'm fed up in here in my atmosphere
Don't you know who you are you're my shooting star

Your pretty, teach me wrong from right
Cos in love there are no answers and in life there is no lie
You're pretty, if the sun won't shine
now you've come this far to meet me and I know, I know you're mine

You're just, too good, to lose and I can't refuse
So don't make me choose between the two
I'm fed up in here in my atmosphere
Don't you know who you are you're my shooting star

I have been listening to that song all day.

In another attempt to be more optimistic, I have made another list about my day. Here it goes..

1. My parents told me that we might be going to Asia this summer. Where? I don't know. Either China and possibly Thailand/Malaysia/Signapore or Bali and the rest of Indonesia.
2. Ordered these a few hours ago.

3. I have done absolutely nothing today. I suppose that is good for now. Tomorrow will be hell; 20 chapters to annotate of Great Expectations.
4. Discovered a new/odd way to clean my room and mix and match my clothes. It involves putting on every item of clothing I pick up. Interesting, yeah? Alright now I probably sound like a freak.

Moving on..

White V Neck, Cardigan, Eggplant Skirt, Braided Belt, Star Necklace

White Dress layered over a Grey Top, Braided Belt, White Cardigan, Green Headband, Brown Sandals

Sorry for the blurry pictures. Auto focus messes up when the lighting is low.

I'm off to search for my pink camera with self timer. I'm not sure where to start looking?

A Nice Day, Indeed

3 nice things about my day:

1. 5 packs of Polaroid film are now mine! They arrived at my doorstep this afternoon.
2. I received a 90 on my narrative essay. The college professor that graded it apparently liked it.
3. Finally purchased the new Kooks album.

And an outfit or two..

Today:

Worn with boring but comfy skinny jeans.

Yesterday:

I am in serious need of knee highs.

Bonne Nuit.

Portriat of a Village

I was forced to spend two and half hours in a library yesterday, helping out with art contest sign ups for NCL. I was already bored out of my mind within the first five minutes of sitting at that table, until I remembered the table downstairs, containing a collection of National Geographic magazines that people donated. I used to love this table when I was little; I would sit there for hours, flipping through the endless pages of beautiful photographs and then begging my mom to buy the magazines for me. I ended up spending 30 cents, yesterday, and walking out with 3 National Geographics. The November 1997 issue contains an amazing spread, called Portrait of a Village, shot in Ukraine. I decided to take pictures of the photographs featured in this spread, shot by Lida Suchy and Miso Suchy, because they are gorgeous and because I don't know how to use our scanner. Enjoy!

A Few Short Questions:

How did you become interested in photography?
My mother used to be a photographer, and I found all of her old equipment, thus a new hobby came around. A lot of my friends are great photographers as well, so they inspired me.

What kind of camera do you shoot with?
My camera is a digital Olympus FE 280. It's not exactly a photographer's camera, but it is fine for now. I am currently trying to fix my mom's Olympus SLR 35mm camera.

Favorite photographer?
Anne Leibovitz. The fact that she takes pictures of the most powerful/beautiful/famous people on the planet allows her to take such unique and fantastic photos.

Back to the competition...
Overall, we won second place. I'm proud though; it was a huge competition. This season is finished, and everything starts over in a few weeks. I still have yet to decide if I will be dancing next year, though. After eight years, I might be done. But then again, I might not be.

Good night.
