Another photography post. The outfits will be posted next Sunday.

However, this man is an official genius. I wish I had thought of jumping off of airplane jets and over bales of hay. I look forward to seeing these photographs up close this summer at one of his galleries in Boston. Until then, I will have to browse through the folder dedicated to him on my computer and http://www.rodneysmith.com/

I'm Making a Pledge

I have decided that I am going to start taking pictures of my actual outfits everday. Then, on Sundays or Mondays, I will post 4 or 5 from that week. Hopefully this will force me out of my white-cardigan-wearing rut and motivate me to be a little more creative.

Be excited..

Oh, Tim

"Tim Who?" Would have been my reaction a few months ago with the mention of Tim Walker. I have recently fallen in love with his photographs. Tim Walker has done many shoots for Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and W. He has also done ad campaigns for Bluemarine, Kate Spade and Neiman Marcus.

Collage + 27 Dresses and Rant

Hello, all. My life sucks right now school-wise (besides that 84 on my biology final!) School is a bitch this semester. Balancing 3 fast paced pre-ap courses and 4 dances (its competition season..) is hard. But, I did get to see 27 dresses tonight. I loved it. It is one of the best movies I have seen in awhile (besides Juno.) And the guy in that movie...

Anyways, enough of that.
About my collage..

My collage is now hanging up in my room after sitting in the art room for weeks. For our final project we had to create a "personal piece" that represented us and one object had to be repeating. The objects I repeated were lenses, cut out from the booklets that came with my camera.

Here is how it turned out:

And New Buys:

These teacups from Anthropologie are adorable. I bought a few of them to give to friends for Christmas and now I have bought some for myself.

Spring Fantasies: Part 1 Continued

I had to spend the day at dance on Sunday, so here is Part 1 Continued.

Urban Outfitters Dress

Nylon/Lycra MicroFiber Solid Color Tights in Lilac from We Love Colors.

Dolce Vita Ankle Boots

(And don't forget to add a beret)

Now some of you are probably saying "I look horrible in pastels," but perhaps it was because you chose the wrong shade. Lilac is more of a neutral pastel that works on many different skin tones. So next time you are at the mall, don't hesitate to try on those pastel tights.

Spring Fantasies Part 1: Tights

What am I envisioning for Spring? Pastel tights paired with neutral dresses, shorts, and skirts. And sandals or ankle boots. Tights are perfect for updating your wardrobe for spring. The tights featured below are from We Love Colors.

Dolce Vita Sandals

That is how I will be wearing my new pastel tights. I don't plan on making an elaborate outfit, which is why the outfit above may be boring to some of you. I'm not like that. Wear them however you please and don't forget your confidence.

Part 1 Continued will be published soon.

Until then,

Au Revoir.

Whisk Me Away to France..

..Now, please. I don't think I can wait until this summer. That is of course, assuming I get my wish. I have been feeling France-sick for the past few weeks, watching The Devil Wears Prada and Marie Antoinette. I was cleaning out my closet today and found an old National Geographic that I bought when I was about 5 at the library (with my very own 10 cents). The pictures are stunning. The entire issue is devoted to celebrating France's bicentennial (July 1989).

National Geographic shows the people and culture of France and not just Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower.

France is one of the most amazing countries to visit and to read about. Until July, I will just have to daydream...but if you ever find this issue laying around, I highly suggest picking it up.

Bonne nuit!

I went to see Juno today with some friends and I thought it was pretty good. Ellen Page was fantastic.

Today's outfit wasn't anything amazing, but I still took a picture.

2008 And My Diana+

Happy New Year! I have been in Florida for the past few weeks and I am finally home. I also just purchased a new camera.

Here is a better picture from lomography.com.

The Diana+ is a reproduction of the classic Diana from the 1960's. These cameras are loved by photographers for their random contrast, dreamy images, and blurring. Inside the box is the Diana+ camera, "Diana Vignettes" book, an instruction manual, and a lens cap and neckstrap. Not included is the 120 medium format film, but that can be ordered from lomography.com along with the Diana+ camera. I love this camera and I bet you will too!
